Hey old man, why don't you mention your birthday (22nd April) seeing that you mention Claudia's. Hope you had a good one. Good luck for Giro and stay upright, seem to be far too many crashes in the sport lately.

I just love the last two entries in your diary, I for one are totally agree with everything you say. As you say look to other sports too. In any major tour you will have 22 teams with 8 riders in each giving us 176 cyclists if my maths are still on par. Take the four riders caught in last years TDF and then calculate the average of cyclists "CHEATING" in that one major is 7.04%.
Now if one could test 176 Rugby players (for arguments sake, could be any sport) at any major competition, I am sure as the heavens are blue (sometimes) that the number "cheating" will be a whole lot higher than the 7.04% of cyclists.
I believe that not one sport can claim purity, even cricket has had its cheats, but I can profess that cycling for one is doing more than its fair share to rid itself of that sword of demaclees, its only a pity that other sporting bodies, do not follow the lead set by cycling.
